The Old Salt has been making award winning clam chowder since it opened its restaurant on Hampton Beach in 1986. We would like to thank all of you who have voted our chowder #1 in the numerous events we have entered!
Our chef recommends placing contents of the can in a 1QT sauce pan. Add equal parts of light cream, a pinch of black pepper, and fresh parsley. Heat to a simmer and let stand for 10-15 minutes to thicken and serve. For a thinner chowder, milk can be substituted for light cream.
